Notaries Public are examined every four years, ensuring that current practices and changes in legal requirements are known by each commissioned notary.
Notaries are independent from any commercial interests and ensure that appropriate notarial practices are followed regarding proper identity authentication and sworn oaths and affidavits are executed according to California requirements.

All notarizations must be performed face to face with the signer. The signer must present a current (not expired) government form of photo ID (identification card.) Some examples of this would be a state issued driver's license or a passport. In the absence of this, there are other provisions which are more detailed and require the assistance of the notary and others.

In addition to the basic notary public credential, Jane has additional training, by the National Notary Association, to perform as a licensed and background checked Certified Signing Agent. Signing Agents are routinely involved in notarizing documents related to real estate, refinancing, trust, employment documents and deed documents.

Beyond the basic and advanced credentials Jane is also certified as a Trusted Enrollment Agent. Enrollment agents serve as independent examiners, authenticating the identity of potential and current employees, and assisting in the delivery of digital certificates to employees of companies that require a high level of security.

Notaries Public in California are bonded, insured and background checked, before commissions are issued, ensuring a level of protection and assurance for consumers.
